休士頓分會

「角聲」休士頓分會輔導中心成立已經有11年。我們服事的對象除了基督徒，也幫助了許多非基督徒。

年前我參加了一個姊妹的水禮，她是因為離婚面對憂鬱症狀而來尋找輔導。在輔導過程中，輔導員也幫助她尋找教會，她從而接受了主耶穌基督。她在困難中看到永恆的盼望，每日可以從神得力，去面對再單身帶來的孤獨，並且得到教會的支持及幫助，來撫養孩子。

另外，輔導中心也幫助了很多瀕臨離婚的夫婦，在輔導過程中慢慢地抽絲剝繭，看到問題的癥結，重新學習有效的溝通及建立良好關係的方法。有一對主內夫妻，關係曾經惡劣到互相推打的地步；現在夫婦同心事奉，丈夫也願意裝備，以致能全時間事奉神。

看到很多夫婦，在輔導過程中破鏡重圓，對婚姻重新產生信心，讓我們感到鼓舞！我們也幫助家長，學習怎樣與青少年子女相處，以忍耐和接納建立溫馨的親子關係。疫情之後，很多人仍然為健康而擔心，被焦慮（Health Anxiety)所困擾，在輔導過程中慢慢康復，學習放鬆，有效地處理自己焦慮的情緒，從而回復正常的生活。

這11年來，輔導中心幫助圈內圈外的羊，了解輔導對他們的幫助，不再逃避及隱藏自己的心理及情緒掙扎，勇敢地面對自己的問題。看到弟兄姊妹重新展翅上騰、為神發力，是輔導員最大的激勵。求神繼續使用輔導中心，成為弟兄姊妹療癒及加油的安全島，也能帶領圈外的羊，在輔導過程中，體驗神的愛及福音的大能。

The Counseling Center of CCHC in Houston has been established for 11 years. Our ministry serves not only Christians but also many non-Christians.

Last year, I attended a sister’s baptism ceremony. She came seeking counseling due to depression stemming from a divorce. During the counseling process, the counselor helped her find a church, where she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ. She found eternal hope amid her difficulties, gaining strength from God each day to face the loneliness of being single again. She also received support and assistance from the church to care for her child.

The counseling center has also assisted many couples on the brink of divorce. Through counseling, we have gradually unraveled the root causes of their issues and helped them relearn effective communication and relationship-building methods. There was a Christian couple whose relationship had deteriorated to the point of physical conflict; now, they serve together in ministry, and the husband is committed to equipping himself for full-time service to God.

Seeing many couples reconcile and regain confidence in their marriages is truly encouraging! We also help parents learn how to interact with their teenage children, building warm parent-child relationships through patience and acceptance. After the pandemic, many people continue to worry about their health and are plagued by anxiety. Through counseling, they gradually recover, learn to relax, and effectively manage their anxious emotions, thereby returning to a normal life.

Over the past 11 years, the Counseling Center has helped both those within and outside the church community to understand the benefits of counseling, encouraging them to face their psychological and emotional struggles bravely instead of avoiding or hiding them. Witnessing brothers and sisters rise up and energize themselves for God is the greatest encouragement for counselors. We pray that God will continue to use the Counseling Center as a safe haven for healing and renewal for our brothers and sisters, and also guide those outside the church to experience God’s love and the power of the Gospel through counseling.
