在這回顧與前瞻的時刻，我們選了「如火挑旺‧獻上最美」為年度主題。為什麼不是獻上最「好」，而是獻上最「美」呢？靠著神豐富的恩典，「角聲」過去多年，在佈道、服務、關懷和醫療各事工上，都作了很多「好事」。但我們仍有一個更高的目標，就是要成就蒙主悅納的「美事」。

根據《福音書》的記載，當馬利亞用一瓶極貴重的香膏來膏抹耶穌時，旁觀的人都認為她的做法是「枉費」，何不把這些錢用來賙濟窮人，做點「好事」。耶穌卻說：「她在我身上做的是一件『美事』（《馬太福音》二十六章10節），因為馬利亞體貼主的心意，她用行動來回應她對主的愛──為耶穌的死作預備。

「如火挑旺」指的是要不斷更新，保持服事的初心，對人的熱誠和對不同時代的需要，作出適切的回應。踏入第四個十年，我們除了要繼續過去所做的「好事」，更要藉著下列的四個新事工方向，做主眼中看為美的事：

報復式佈道——面對疫情肆虐後遺症、頻繁的天災，全球動盪不安的經濟和局勢，我們要把握機會，把福音廣傳出去，不管是哪個語言：粵語、國語還是英語；不管是哪個群體：兒童、青少年、成人或長者；不管是哪個地域：本地、外州，還是國外，「角聲」都會竭盡所能，透過各種的佈道活動，把福音傳給他們。

即時性回應——在疫情最嚴峻的日子，「角聲」積極安排疫苗的接種。面對發生在蒙市的槍擊案及土耳其大地震，「角聲」都立刻以行動作出回應，在社區傳遞神的愛，並為主發聲。

眾教會網絡——回應社區的需要，單靠一個機構、一所教會是絕對不足夠的。因此，「角聲」願意成為教會面向社區的窗口，同走愛心路，在報稅和其他社區關懷事工上，與眾教會建立緊密的網絡。

跨地域關懷——經過3年半疫情的隔離，讓我們學會善用網上平台這門功課。我們透過雲端教學，關懷台灣偏鄉的孩子；通過不同的網上興趣小組，與中國兒童之家的孩子們互動；而癌友關懷活動，也由此得以延伸到不同的地區、外州甚至國外。

「主啊！面對未來的一年，讓我們對神、對人的愛心，能夠不斷地更新，如火挑旺！讓「角聲」的事工能蒙神悅納，如馨香的祭，獻上最美！」

At this moment of reflection and looking ahead, we have chosen ‘Rekindle and Rededicate our Best’ as our annual theme for this year. Why did we choose to offer our “best” instead of just our “good”? Through God’s abundant grace, CCHC has accomplished many “good things” in the areas of evangelism, service, care, and medical ministries over the years. However, we aim for an even higher goal: to accomplish “beautiful things” that are pleasing to the Lord.

According to the Gospels, when Mary anointed Jesus with a very expensive perfume, the onlookers thought her action was a “waste,” and that the money could have been used to help the poor — to do some “good.” But Jesus said, “She has done a beautiful thing to me” (Matthew 26:10) because Mary understood the Lord’s heart. She expressed her love for the Lord through her actions, preparing Him for His burial.

“Rekindle with Passion” means continually renewing ourselves, maintaining the heart of service, responding with enthusiasm to people’s needs, and adapting to the changing times. As we enter our fourth decade, we aim not only to continue doing the “good things” we have done in the past, but also to undertake “beautiful things” in the eyes of the Lord, through four new ministry directions:

• Retaliatory Evangelism — In the face of the post-pandemic era, frequent natural disasters, and global economic and political instability, we must seize opportunities to spread the Gospel widely, regardless of language — whether Cantonese, Mandarin, or English; regardless of audience — whether children, teenagers, adults, or the elderly; and regardless of location — whether local, out of state, or abroad. We will do everything in its power to share the Gospel through evangelistic activities.
• Immediate Response — During the most severe days of the pandemic, CCHC actively arranged for vaccinations. In response to the shooting in Monterey Park and the earthquake in Turkey, CCHC immediately took action, conveying God’s love to the community and speaking out for the Lord.
• Church Network — Meeting the needs of the community requires more than just one organization or one church. Therefore, CCHC is willing to serve as a bridge for churches to engage with the community, walking the path of love together and establishing close networks with many churches in ministries like tax assistance and other community care services.
• Caring without Border — After three and a half years of pandemic isolation, we have learned to make good use of online platforms. Through cloud-based teaching, we care for children in remote areas of Taiwan; through various online interest groups, we interact with children in the Children Homes in China. Cancer care activities have also been extended to different regions, states, and even overseas.

“Dear Lord, in the year to come, let our love for You and the people be Rekindled and renewed. Let us Rededicate the ministry of CCHC. May it be accepted by You and be a beautiful sacrifice in Your sight!“
