角聲疊湖營地

在位於紐約上州的角聲疊湖營地，舉辦「家是寶(Gospel Camp)」青少年兒童夏令營，今年已經進入第34年了。經過突如其來的疫情，今年暑假終於正式重新開放！在過去幾年的調整時期，我們原有的服事團隊已被打散，以致我們經常禱告，尋求神的指引，甚至考慮是否要關閉營地？

就在我們迷惘的時候，神再次向我們啟示，甚至幫助我們重新組合新團隊。剛開始報名的時候，我們一度覺得很擔心，擔心報名人數不多，擔心招不到老師……我們的團隊，都是年輕沒有經驗的「新血」；在一次次的聚集禱告中，向神祈求及為我們的信心不足來悔改，天父也在一次次的為我們開路，並告訴我們，祂為我們預備的，是超乎我們所想所求的！

今年的暑假，我們開辦了兩期的兒童福音營及一期的救生員訓練營，大約60 個小朋友及20位義工參加。在這個營期中，我們經歷了很多神蹟奇事，最觸動我們的，是我們在每一期的最後一晚，都會為小朋友們準備篝火。在第一期夏令營時，我們發現營火當天晚上，有很大機會下雨，便都十分緊張！因為我們希望每位小朋友，都能感受到營火的樂趣。

因此，我們當天從早上開始，就一直盯著電話的同步天氣報告。到了晚上大家去參加營火會，我們有人在辦公室禱告並觀察情況，有同工及講員在營火場地祈求禱告。就在雨水快到我們區域的那一刻，突然發現神將我們上空的烏雲大雨，像紅海一樣分開了，在我們的營地週邊越過。感謝讚美我們的天父！所有在場的小朋友，都在此時此刻，經歷了天父奇妙的作為。

感謝主帶領角聲疊湖營地，走過了這麼多年；也祈求神帶領我們義無反顧地繼續走下去。因為，祂的意念高過我們的意念，求祂的旨意成就在「家是寶」青少年夏令營。

At the Camp Herald on Lower Twin Lake in Upstate New York, the Gospel Camp for children and teenagers has been held for 34 years. After the pandemic, the camp finally reopened this summer! During the adjustment period of the past few years, our original service team was disbanded, leading us to frequently pray and seek God’s guidance, and even consider whether to close the camp.

In our time of uncertainty, God revealed Himself to us once again and helped us reorganize a new team. At the start of the registration process, we were quite worried about the low number of registrations and the challenge of recruiting teachers. Our team consisted of inexperienced “new blood.” Through numerous gatherings and prayers, seeking God and repenting for our lack of faith, our Heavenly Father opened doors for us and assured us that He had prepared for us more than we could imagine or ask for!

This summer, we held two sessions of the children’s Gospel Camp and one session of lifeguard training camp, with about 60 children and 20 volunteers participating. During these camp sessions, we experienced many miracles. The most touching moment was when we prepared a campfire for the children, which we did on the last night of each session. During the first camp session, we were very anxious as we noticed that there was a high chance of rain on the night of the campfire, while we wanted every child to experience the joy of the campfire.

Therefore, from the morning of that day, we kept monitoring the weather reports on our phones. By the evening, as everyone was heading to the campfire, some of us prayed in the office and observed the situation, while others prayed at the campfire site. Just as the rain was about to reach our area, we suddenly saw that God had parted the dark clouds above us, like the Red Sea, allowing the rain to pass around our camp. We thank and praise our Heavenly Father! All the children present experienced the wonderful works of the Father at that moment.

We are grateful for the Lord’s guidance in leading Camp Herald through these many years. We also pray that God will guide us to continue steadfastly. For His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and we ask that His will be done in the youth summer Gospel Camp.
